Music industry update | Georgia, USA | Indie artist, Jackie's Boy

Released on the 30th of July, 2021, “Wear You Out” is the brand new single by Grammy award-winning independent R&B songwriter and recording artist Jackie’s Boy, who is on his way to becoming Savannah, Georgia’s next big music star. He’s written songs for popular artists like Chris Brown, Madonna and Johnny Gill so only the very best is expected from him when there is talk about a new record, and he overdelivers every single time. It's his third single of 2021, following just over a month after the release of his last song “Therapy Session” back in June. This week Jackie’s Boy announced that the music video for the track has been shot and is now in the final stages of production. Official release date for the video, behind the scenes clips from the music video shoot and sneak previews will be provided as they become available.

Produced by Grammy member Shaun Moore of 11th Grade Music, “Art Imitates Love” is a record by Savannah, Georgia indie artist and Grammy award-winning songwriter Jackie’s Boy. He performed the track live during the latest episode of his new weekly web series "Music Monday”. As with many of the singles that have been featured on the series the song is yet to be released and no release date has been set if there is any on the horizon at all but once available it will be provided here. In case you don’t know already, feedback is what the series is all about and it is not just very much welcomed but it is very important as well to ensure your favorite songs make it into the record stores and eventually into your Spotify and Apple Music playlist. No, those are not necessarily good things in music all the time, in fact, they may be the only things that are guaranteed to drive you completely nuts if nothing else will in the not so far future, in the year twenty twenty something when Viagra has been perfected for men, and women with WAP issues; gays can marry anywhere in the world without people threatening to do unforgivable things to their cheeks - not lesbians obviously, everyone loves a lesbian; goats can be just be goats instead of having to be the greatest all the time; people can sneeze again without instantaneously emptying out the whole perimeter and feeling so ashamed; and weed smokers can get super high once again without getting panic attacks from wrongly assuming they are surrounded by a bunch of ninjas with nothing but wet wipes and see though gloves - to clean up any traces of whatever they do with their amazing hands OBVIOUSLY, because they must be that good to not have swords and throwing stars... just wait and see. If you are an avid R&B music streamer and you’ve not been following the exciting new web series “Music Monday” by critically acclaimed, Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter Jackie’s Boy then you’ve probably missed a lot already and that’s not very healthy for your Spotify playlists, but don’t worry there’s still plenty of time for you to redeem yourself. The series was just one of many endeavors the esteemed independent Savannah, Georgia R&B artist and record label owner started to pursue following the advent the first coronavirus lockdowns back in the spring of 2020. R&B music in the Southeast of the United States of America hasn’t been the same and probably will never be the same since critically acclaimed songwriter Jackie’s Boy stepped out from behind the curtains to pursue a career as a singer. Having worked with some of the world’s biggest recording artists including Madonna, Johnny Gill, Chris Brown and most recently, Shawn Stockman of the legendary R&B group Boyz II Men, it’s hard to have imagined it any other way. With a vocal performance style that is unique and exciting in ways no other artist has offered in a very long time, Jackie’s Boy is quickly making a name for himself locally and nationally completely independently and according to many of the music industry's top critics and discerning R&B music fans, is poised to be the world’s next big R&B star. In case you haven’t heard already, a few months ago during the heat of the pandemic lockdowns of 2020, the fast-rising multi-talented Savannah, Georgia star started a new web series called Music Mondays, which introduces R&B fans to a new never before heard record live every Monday on social media. He’s a man on a mission and he has come so far already, but Jackie’s Boy’s quest for world domination in the world of R&B music is not just about becoming the world’s next big star. 

With several Billboard hits and Grammy awards under his belt for writing songs for some of the top artists in the United States, when he made his debut as a recording artist back in 2017 it was clear he had everything required to be just as successful in the spotlight as he had been working behind the scenes in the recording studio. He went on to release several critically acclaimed singles without the backing of any major record labels and he is already making a name for himself as one of the next big R&B acts out of Savannah, Georgia where he is from. 

Back in April when he launched his record label, Big Circle Music Group, he stated that his goal, as with all his endeavors since stepping out from behind the scenes was to bring back the core values of R&B music and help the genre achieve its full potential in today’s music industry, and his last single, “Do It Again”, a collaborative project with Shawn Stockman of the legendary R&B group, Boyz II Men; did just that. It’s been a really gloomy year for many of us, but it’s Christmas time again and time to leave all our worries behind. It may not be the Christmas many of us would have envisioned or wished for at the beginning of the year but like every single year it should be special and leave behind lots of fun memories. Earlier last week, Savannah, Georgia R&B singer, songwriter and producer, Jackie’s Boy announced that his Christmas EP, “Almost Christmas” was in the final stages of post-production. It was officially released on the 27th of November. It came as a welcome surprise and was indeed a special treat for fans, just over 2 months since his last EP, “The Black Chapter” took the world of R&B to a place it hadn’t been in a very long time. Released on the 21st of September, "The Black Chapter" was the Grammy award-winning songwriter’s first album since he made his debut as an independent solo artist back in 2017 with the release of “Revival”. "Almost Christmas" is available to stream and download on Apple Music, Spotify and all popular digital music services.

Critically acclaimed US songwriter and solo artist, Jackie’s Boy has been working on so many projects during lockdown; including his new podcast, “Do You Miss R&B?” and his new record label, Big Circle Music which recently signed its first artist, a female R&B singer who goes by the name of Aunyae. He also announced the start of a new project called “The Black Chapter”, a series aimed at bringing awareness to racial tensions, racial inequality, racism, police brutality, and the many lives lost or affected as a result.
