The music industry, and the world as a whole is slowly but surely emerging from the shadows, as if from hibernation, as 2020 goes further into the past; lockdown restrictions are tentatively eased; and Coronavirus vaccines are rolled out one vulnerable age group at a time from the top down. Everything is slowly getting back up to speed here as well, and all the amazing independent and underground musicians and bands we know and love so much are emerging with new projects and amazing tunes they’ve been working on during the course of lockdown. They've all been nothing short of spectacular so far. 

This week, New Hampshire, US underground hip hop star and battle rap champ Eyenine emerged with news about a new music video in the works. For anyone who knows about the Dover sensation this is big news, not only because he is so amazing on the microphone but because he is so creatively masterful that when visuals come into the picture his works become nothing short of masterpieces that will be frozen in time as future hip hop classics in a category of their own somewhere between the reincarnation of hip hop and its 9th death. So what’s this music video then? Well, there hasn’t been any word about whether it’s a new track or a video of something already released but we’ve got a few pictures from the first night of the video shoot below (and above). EYENINE AT THE 2020 OVERCAST HIP HOP FESTIVAL

Hailed as one of the most exciting Caucasian underground hip hop artists and battle rappers to emerge from the United States since Eminem, New Hampshire’s Eyenine has been watched by the industry closely since he made his debut with the release of the critically acclaimed album, “The Insomnia Sessions". Soon after the album's release he was spotted by RZA of the legendary hip hop group, the Wu Tang Clan, who supported him through those crucial early days of his career and continues to do so. He has since toured nationally and internationally several times, and shared the stage with iconic mainstream and underground artists from around the world. After having his ongoing tour, “The Old Couch Tour” cancelled halfway through back in March when lock downs went into place around the world, the emerging Dover sensation went back into the studio and before long released what has been called his best record to date. “Unfamiliar Ceilings“ was released to critical acclaim on the 25th of May and continues to receive nothing but the highest praises as it spreads like wildfire across the US. This week he announced that he’ll be playing at this year’s Overcast Hip Hop Festival, which takes place from the 25th to 26th of September in Cincinnati, Ohio, with live performances and rap battles by some of the biggest names in underground hip hop including Farout, Counterfeit Money Machine, Shris Conde, Ceschi, E-turn, Frank White, Smokeface, MC Homeless, Spoken Nerd and more. The music festival will be streamed live on Cincinnati's premier music platform, CincyMusic. All proceeds will be donated to the Innocence Project, which aims to put an end to wrongful convictions in the United States. Dover, New Hampshire native, Eyenine has been hailed as one of the most talented and most creatively adventurous emerging underground rappers in the North East of the United States today. EYENINE INTERVIEW AFTER TOUR CANCELLED

A couple of weeks back, Eyenine announced that his ongoing tour had to be cancelled for the safety of fans and in compliance with new and ongoing restrictions which have been put in place in various US cities and states. The “Old Cough Tour” with underground rappers Googie, LT Headtrip, Lamon Manuel and Farout, and venues in Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, San Bernardino, Phoenix, Austin, Houston, New Orleans, Asheville, Charleston, Cleveland, Youngstown, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Detroit, Minneapolis, Madison, Chicago, Oshkosh, St. Louis, Columbia, Kansas City, Lawrence, Sioux City and Denver, which was scheduled to take place from the 17th of February till the 22nd of March sadly came to an end on the 14th of March, just over a week before it was due to end. There has been no talk of rescheduling any of the remaining 7 dates. If rocking the microphone was a sport, Eyenine would be Usain Bolt - well, at least before he played the forbidden card and tried to quit while he was ahead – sure everyone says that's the way to go and it holds true in theory, but in reality no one wants to see their heroes actually doing it. So scratch that, he wouldn’t be Usain Bolt, maybe Mike Tyson - at least before Mike discovered Japanese women and started hanging out with Bobby Brown.

Making his debut back in 2009, he quickly made a name for himself locally with a formidable writing and rhyming style that still trumps that of any white rappers out there today. It wasn’t before long that he got discovered by the famous RZA of the popular ‘90s hip hop group, Wu Tang Clan and signed to a management deal that has seen to it that he has now toured the US several times and is being predicted to be New Hampshire, USA’s next big international white male hip hop artist. This week we confirmed that he’ll be touring again next year with Farout, another emerging rapper who is quickly making a name for himself. The two hit the road together only a few months back on the Other Peoples' Pets Tour and they have confirmed that they’ll be doing it again. Last night marked the end of New Hampshire, US rapper, Eyenine's spring tour with rapidly emerging underground hip hop artists, PremRock from New York and Fresh Kils from Toronto, Canada. The last gig of the US edition of the "Must Be Nice Tour" was held at DBGB'S in Buffalo, New York. It was the 11th date of the 7 state tour which commenced on the 20th of March with venues in Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut and Maine, a circuit which the critically acclaimed Dover underground hip hop star is no stranger to. The tour follows the release of the first single from his upcoming album which is due to be released soon. "Lack of Admirality" the new track was released on the 7th of March and is available to stream and download on iTunes, Spotify and all major digital music services.
