WHO GOT HEAT
|
Music industry update | Wisconsin, USA | Indie artist, Daiyon |
Midwest US rapper, Daiyon has been making waves locally for all the right reasons since he made his debut back in 2013 with the release of the sensational album, “The Life”, which featured the critically acclaimed single, “Hands Up”. His sound and style have remained unique and relevant in today’s hip hop, and his last album, “7 Daiys” was and still is evidence that it is still possible to gain mass appeal without conforming for the short-term benefits of doing so. In 2019 he released two notable singles that did well to further get his name out there as Wisconsin’s next big hip hop star. “Carter Sh*t” part one and two where tributes to Jay-z, who he credits as one of his major influences as an artist. The tracks where only released in the form of music videos but they did well to create a lot of buzz as he prepared for his next project, a new album which he later confirmed was in the works. His song, “Used To This” has been selected to feature on the next instalment of world-renowned New Jersey, US rap star, Fetty Wap’s mixtape series, “Who Got Heat”.
