Music industry update | Georgia, USA | Indie artist, Yung Turnt |
With singles like “How High” [
Listen] and “Double Tree”, US underground hip hop artists, DJ Redd 2Deez and Ebeezy Da Weirdo took their local hip hop community by storm and cemented their names in the minds of fans as Atlanta, Georgia's top new artists to watch. They careered down the path of an exciting underground hip hop career, releasing music as and when required, very regularly, in a delightfully unpredictable manner that was sure to leave fans and critics holding their heads for a very long time every single time. Collectively, the duo, known as Boss Man Status (BMS) created a repertoire of music that was not only unique in Atlanta hip hop but essential to shake things up on a landscape that was becoming rather monotonous at the time. Ebeezy, also known as Yung Turnt, and DJ Redd 2Deez, also known as OG Hugh Hef later began releasing records separately around 2016 and continued to blow fans away just as before, each time more spectacularly than the last, in addition to releasing records together. There was no talk of dismantling the original group, and they both continued to use the BMS name in their releases. The two dropped off the radar for a while, but “Yung Turnt” has recently started making headlines once again for all the right reasons. His new song, “Way Up” is causing pandemonium locally and is being predicted to become one of the big summer hits of 2020. The track was released a few months back and is available to stream and download on Spotify, Apple Music and all top digital music streaming and retail platforms.
