Music industry update | Miami, USA | Indie artist, Honorebel

Hailing originally from Kingston, Jamaica, Honorebel is an exceptionally talented singer, songwriter, producer and an all-round entertainer who knows how to get the crowd moving, keep them moving and create long-lasting memories whenever he gets his hands on a microphone. Whether live or recorded, he gives all he’s got, and boy does he have a lot to give. Unsuspecting music fans at the Jamaican Jerk Festival in Florida back in November had to find out the hard way when he refused to give up the mic and instead enticed the MC of the event to join him in an extended performance before disappearing backstage and leaving a crowd of ecstatic fans behind.

As an independent artist he has managed to enjoy an illustrious music career that many emerging acts of today could only dream of. He has worked with and shared the stage with so many big names in reggae, hip hop, dance and pop music that it’s almost impossible to count. He has been hailed as Miami’s hardest working independent artist but in fact he is one of the world’s hardest working artists. Not a single month passes without one of his new releases topping the charts somewhere in the world. On the 8th of November his highly anticipated album, “Above The Noise” was released to critical acclaim and has since been the talk of every self-respecting radio station, DJ and music press outlet that plays or is even remotely interested in reggae music.

The CEO of his own record label, Phantom Music Group, Honorebel is also a savvy entrepreneur who is in the business of launching the careers of world’s next big urban music stars and has so far signed two artists that are already following in his footsteps and blazing a trail in Caribbean music. King Doe Boi, his first artist and Ja’Roy, his second made their debuts in 2018 and 2019 consecutively. This week the independent Miami star unveiled his latest work of art. “Spotlight”, the new single is already keeping radio DJs very busy and leaving critics lost for words. The track is a collaborative project with Cleveland, Ohio independent hip hop artist, Marica Linn, and it is available to stream and download on Spotify, Google Play Music, Tidal, Apple Music, Amazon and selected popular digital music streaming and download platforms, as well as Soundcloud, Reverbnation and selected free music promotion platforms for independent music.
