Music industry update | North Carolina, USA | Indie artist, Yung Rackz |
Hailed as the most exciting new artists to emerge from North Carolina, the home of big names like J Cole, Jermaine Dupri and Nick Cannon, and controversial names like the late Big Floyd (George Floyd), who was part of the hip hop collective, Screwed Up Click back in 1994, Yung Rackz made a name for himself locally with the release of the critically acclaimed single, “Back In The Day”, a record many who have watched his career evolve claim was way ahead of its time and still is. Bordering along the same lines as the hip hop classic, "Juicy" by the Notorious B.I.G, it’s a nostalgic track that looks back at hard times and never gets old. After the release of two of his biggest albums to date, “Prophet Of The Streets” in 2019 and “By All Means” earlier this year, the buzz surrounding the fast-rising Winston-Salem rap music sensation is at an all-time high, and is only getting bigger with the recent single, "Worked Hard", which was released on the 1st of July to critical acclaim. His new album, "Trapademic" has now gone live for pre-order on Apple Music and all popular digital music services ahead of its official release on the 16th of July. The 13 track album is hosted by Jadakiss of the popular hip hop group, L.O.X.
