Recording artist and CEO of his own record label, Raw Entertainment, Drex is an entrepreneur who is proving that it’s possible for artists to manage themselves and excel in today’s music industry. Drex comes from Patchhogue, a largely self-contained community in Suffolk County, New York with a population of just over 10,000 inhabitants. His sound is forceful, catastrophic and as the title of his latest single, “187” suggests, is homicidal, but in a good way. This week on the SRL Networks Auditions we had the great pleasure of exploring his discography and delving into the buzz surrounding the exciting new New York hip hop sensation.
