Pictured: The late, great Amy Winehouse (L), Juliette Ashby (R)
Former flat-mate and best friend of the late, Amy Winehouse, she has one of the most recognisable voices and styles in emerging UK reggae music today, and Juliette Ashby, whose repertoire dates only as far back as 2011 has already made a name for herself as an act to be reckoned with nationally and internationally after putting on show-stopping performances at some of the world's popular festivals and reggae events including SXSW, where she first made her mark back in 2013. Her sound - a soulful, intoxicating, tropical blend of R&B and reggae with a hint of dancehall is always a tough one to follow and consequently, she's one of those acts that always gets invited back wherever she plays live. Her debut album, "Build Up The Strong" is still being hailed for its originality and excellence till today, 3 years after its release back in October, 2016 and fans, critics and music industry insiders alike have been holding on to their seats in anticipation of her next project. She continues to gig fairly regularly in the UK as well as internationally. Her next appearance will be at the Oland Roots festival in Sweden, which takes place from the 10th to the 13th of July.
