Music industry update | Texas, USA | Indie artist, Baba Kuboye

Hailing from Texas, USA, Baba Kuboye is a US based Nigerian musician who has been hitting all the right notes with afropop and afrobeat music lovers and critics since he made his sensational debut a few years back. With songs like “Tonight”, “Nothing” and the critically acclaimed single “Robo Dance” he has cemented his name in the minds of fans as one of the top new contenders in the genres. While he strives to blaze a trail with an utterly exciting and unique style of his own - a distinctive blend of saxophone, guitar and keyboard sounds; a vocal performance style that has been described as liberating; and mindful lyrics often centred around political, economic and social issues; he has been compared to African megastars like Fela Kuti, Femi Kuti, Wizkid and Burna Boy.
