Ava Lemert has been knocking the socks of California's
soul music scene for quite a long time now, and not only has she become one of the state's most exciting independent acts to watch live in concert, she is also becoming a popular face in the local press as well. Her debut album, "Twelve" is still hailed as one of the
best independent soul music releases this decade and her outstanding saxophone and vocal performances are still unmatched by any new singer songwriter that has emerged from the region in a very long time. "Ava's Groove", her latest album was released to critical acclaim back in June, right in the thick of summer and the buzz continues to grow exponentially several months on, especially as her gigging schedule becomes busier and busier, and more and more unsuspecting music fans are suddenly discovering the funky, soulful, groovy, super-smooth, utterly infectious sound they never even knew they had a taste for. Ava has had the honor of performing live at the Eldorado Hills Christmas lighting ceremony twice now. She put on a show-stopping performance each time and made it more memorable and special than ever before. So of course she's been invited to do it again for the third time, this Christmas. This year's event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, the 7th of December, and if you haven't guest already, it's going to be spectacular. The event is free.
