Amazing songwriting is one of the keys to success in the music industry, in fact some would argue it’s the only way to success. Whether you are writing your own songs or performing songs written by professional songwriters or other artists, the lyrics are what help fans make a connection and the resulting effect is second to none. But aside from having a great song, there are other aspects of a music career that make the difference between a good artist and an all-time great. Being a great performer on stage is one of the most important of them. Michael Jackson was and still is the King of Pop, not just because he sang like it was his last day on earth every single time he recorded in the studio but also because he could put on a great show, which ultimately meant he could sell concert tickets like no other artist was able to do at the time. From his outstanding costumes to choreography, commanding onstage presence and charisma, he left a lasting impression around the world every time he went on tour. Nowadays it’s hard to find any artists out there who could put on a great show like Michael but with every passing moment it seems like we are getting closer.

This month in London has been a very exciting month for UK talent scouts and record labels. Los Angeles, US artist, Crystal Starr arrived to promote the UK release of her critically acclaimed independent album, “#She”. The press tour, which commenced on Sunday, the 27th of October when she featured on BBC Radio London, has brought joy to fans and music industry insiders, many of whom prior where unaware any artist was doing anything like what she’s doing. She’s bringing heat to live music venues and concert halls and not just singing her heart out but setting stages on fire with exceptional performances that are only typical of all-time greats.
