MORE GOOD NEWS FROM WASHINGTON
During the last week we spoke about how the US's most popular city, Washington hardly ever has any uplifting or heart-warming news for the world (unless someone's pocket/belly is getting fatter behind the scenes somewhere and it's not us). We brought you some good news then, and here's some more.
Though she has shown immense growth as an artist over the past couple of years and her sound has evolved vocally and performance-wise significantly, the young multi-talented Washington independent artist, who officially started her career in music back in 2014 at 16 when she released her first official EP, "Stay with me" has managed to maintain the same artistic qualities and demeanor that fans fell in love with - her innocent voice and soft speaking tone, her gentle, heart-warming guitar rhythms and melodies, and her carefully crafted lyrics about life and love, just to name a few.
With two solid EPs and several highly regarded singles over the years including "Barbed Wire", "Hey Country Boy", "Old Soul", and her latest and most highly rated record to date, "Bless Your Heart", she has won over the hearts of independent (indie) music fans far and wide, and owing to her family-friendly demeanor garnered a solid fan base that cuts across multiple age groups. Afton also has a good number of live gigs and appearances under her belt and performs regularly in and around Washington. Her next gig is on the 24th of July at Gig Harbor in Washington.
