Music industry update | London, UK | Indie artist, Kileza |
Maroon 5’s song, “
What Lovers Do” became the subject of a copyright infringement claim by London based Berlin R&B singer songwriter, Kileza a few months ago. Kileza claims the song copies a song she released back in 2017 with exactly the same title. The record label, Interscope Records and their A&Rs have started looking into the matter and dedicated music industry lawyers are working hard to make sure the independent German R&B sensation, who moved over to the UK just over a year and a half ago and is already making a name for herself, is credited for her work. Kileza invited fans to support by using the hashtag #CreditKileza on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and other social media platforms. She also released several short videos on YouTube explaining the details of the case. The videos are available to stream below. In the meantime, she has recorded a brand new single which was released just over a month ago for pre-order ahead of its official release on the 27th of November. “Now You’re Gone”, the new track is available to stream and download on Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Amazon and other popular digital music services.
