With over 40 million inhabitants, California has the highest population in the United States. Its culture is vastly diverse, with over 58% of the population consisting of ethnic minorities - Hispanics, Asians, Native Americans, African Americans and almost every race and color of skin the world has to offer. It is the home of the Apple Computer, one of the first popular products by Apple Inc, which was found in Cupertino by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne back in 1976. It was also the place where Blue Jeans where invented. It is the home of the world's oldest living thing - a Mojave Desert creosote bush which is over 43,000 years old. But above all, California is most famous for its contributions to the entertainment industry and has brought us so many iconic film, music and art stars.

This week on the SRL Networks Auditions we had the great pleasure of exploring its emerging music scene and delving into the discography of a promising new band from the North Bay called Death n Taxes. Formed in 2018 with the release of their debut album, "Sex Temper Tyrannis", the garage rock duo is inspired by musical acts like The Doors, The Hives, Duran Duran and Hunter S Thompson, and their sound has been described as "what it would sound like if Jimi Hendrix played for the Sex Pistols". Their latest album, "The Panic Movement" was released on the 2nd of September, 2019. Voting is still open
