FLYING HIGH

Metal music is one of those music genres that is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression every single time, whether you are listening to your favourite band live in concert, on the radio or on your personal music player or mobile device. For music fans in need of a thoroughly satisfying experience, it is one of those genres that never fails, and one of those that often over-delivers on its promises – one minute you could be listening to the loudest sounds you’ve ever heard and praying to God you can still hear by the end of the show, the next thing you know you could be watching the head of a live animal getting bitten off.

This week on the SRL Networks Audition we listened to and explored the discography of an exciting new US band that is quickly making a name for themselves in metal music and following in the footsteps of iconic metal acts like Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and Metallica with their very distinctive, highly intoxicating sound. Born in 2016, Symetria hails from Flemington, a borough in Hunterdon County, New Jersey with a population of just under 5000 people. They made their debut with the release of the self-titled 9 song album, “Symetria” on the 29th of September, 2017, just over a year later. Their sound has been described as furious, infectious and wicked, and just like any good metal band that emerges, they play much louder than any other band that has emerged from their home region.
