A JOURNEY WITH A NEW CONNECTION
With a population of just over 1.5 million, Philadelphia, USA is the sixth most populous city in the United States and the largest city in Pennsylvania. Founded by William Penn, an English Quaker in 1682, it is one of the oldest municipalities in the States. It served as a meeting place for the Founding Fathers and was in fact the city where the US Declaration of Independence and Constitution where signed back in the 1700s. It has brought us amazing musical acts like Paddy LaBelle, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Eve, The Roots, Boyz II Men, Jill Scott and Meek Mill, to name a few, and has a rich musical history that dates as far back as the 18th century when the first opera, the Beggar's Opera was formed. This week on the SRL Networks Auditions we had the pleasure of exploring its emerging music scene and delving into the discography of Jon Steele, a new pop artist who made his debut back in 2017 with the release of the 19 track album, "Compositions by Jon Steele" and then followed with a sequel, "Compositions by Jon Steele 2", which features the critically acclaimed song, "A Journey With A New Connection" just over a year later.
